Scott Andrews has 20 years of experience in public sector administration, distinguished by providing progressive vision and decisive leadership to 5 local government organizations in Florida, Georgia, and California. Scott is dedicated to building vibrant communities and enhancing neighborhoods; to establishing a sense of place; to promoting strong civic engagement; and to restoring trust in local government.
Andrews has a track record of demonstrating expertise in developing strategies to solve highly complex problems and resolving organizational issues while navigating diverse agendas and balancing competing issues. Possesses a strong business acumen and core management competencies in all aspects of municipal governance and leadership.
Scott is currently the Assistant City Manager for the 48th largest City in the United States, in Bakersfield, California. Scott previously served as the City Manager in the east Atlanta city of Covington, GA, as the Assistant City Manager in Smyrna, GA, the Economic Development Director in Sugar Hill, GA, and in multiple leadership roles in Parks and Recreation in Temple Terrace, FL.
